So... My friend likes the same person I like

Basically, it all started like 3 months ago. So I was talking to my friend and out of nowhere she brought up who I liked. Since I trust her and she's my friend, I told her and was like it's really not a big deal. About one month later, she starts staring at him. Which is fine of course, he's not like my boyfriend or anything. Anyway, I asked her straight up, "hey do you like him? You can tell me the truth, it's fine!" She's all like, "no!!! Why would you think that???" Then today (a month later) she tells me, "I really do like him, I'm so sorry, you can still like him and everything, it's just that it might be awkward and I don't want to ruin our friendship." There are 2 things that bug me about this...

1. It hurts me that she thinks I'm going to let a guy break up our friendship and

2. I still like him and I can't seem to get him out of my head, but I don't want her to feel like it's awkward. I'm completely fine with it, but I can tell that she won't see our friendship the same.

Any suggestions?
