I just found out from my sister in law that our children are learning about drugs and violence in 6th grade during a two week course.

Students were coached to not tell the parents and keep their workbooks private.

This is infuriating!!! Teachers should not be allowed to tell children "Don't tell your parents" and coax them to HIDE things from us!!!

It's not about the topic itself that's upsetting, it's the fact that the school wanted to keep this a secret from us!

What can we do as parents at this point now to let the schools know this is unacceptable?

(Public school in PA if that matters)
