Idk why I get so excited 😂

I can’t post it to Facebook because I have daycare parents on there. And this is not exactly a “rule” it’s just a common courtesy to not immediately tell parents when their child hits a milestone at daycare because it can make them feel like they’re missing out. Some parents want to know but we should assume they want to find out on their own.

I had one stand up today, on his own with no help or support. He’s been a late bloomer and I’ve been trying to get him to stand. He’s been following me and pulling up on my pants everywhere I go, just clinging to me so I could tell he was thinking about doing it. He let go of me and stood for about 10 seconds. I got so excited that I applauded him like he just did the most amazing thing ever and stuck my head out and told everyone else that he just stood up. I have two doors in my class and stuck my head out both doors and then went and picked him up and held him up like simba and said “HE DID IT” 😂😂😂 I don’t even care if they think I’m dramatic. The best part is when he felt the excitement and started clapping.

Anytime any of them hit a milestone I get so happy, even when they get their first tooth or teeth and I share that happiness with their parents. I celebrate new teeth with people who have made smaller people who at first had no teeth.
