Did dates and red raspberry leaf tea help you have a fast labor & delivery? Any positives or negatives?

I have drank it during my last three pregnancies! Active labor with my 3rd was 1 hr 58 mins, with my 4th was 18 mins, with my 5th was 3 hrs (she was sunny side up with her hand by her face) while I do believe the RR helped, I think having homebirths without medical intervention helped too! My first two were hospital births of 8 hrs!

I haven't given birth yet, but at 36 weeks I was already 3cm dilated and now at 38 weeks I'm 4cm dilated and 80% effaced. I defintely think it's because of the dates!

I drank the tea the last two months and took primrose oil pills the last month with my doctor’s approval. I delivered my daughter 30 minutes after my water broke! No tear either 🙌🏻

I think it worked. My longest labor was 14 hrs and my last labor was only 4 hrs

I have always had both and my longest labour was 5hours (I’ve had 3). I also took EZBirth which my midwives sold.

How funny- I’m TTC and as I walked by the dates at the shop the other day my mouth started salivating..... (I’ve never bought or fancied dates in my life!). If I am pregnant, I think I’ll have to listen to my body and pick some up!

I didn't drink the tea but I ate 6 dates a day from 38 weeks and sadly I don't think it did a thing 😥😂 I delivered at 41 weeks 6 days. I had prodromal labor for two days before actually going into labor. About 12 hours of 'mild' (relatively) early labor contractions before my water broke and then another 18 hours until delivering. 😐 That was my first baby though...here's to hoping it's better with number two!

I guess I don’t know for sure that this is what helped but I was dilated to four cm a week before active labor and then had a very quick labor for my first. I ate lots of dates a few weeks leading up to the due date and drank smoothies with pineapple core in it in the last week.

Drank the tea for the last 2 months daily and had a 17hr labor. Would have been way longer but they finally used pitocin to speed it up
