Trying to get fit!

So since my husband is deployed for nine months I’ve decided to use this time to surprise him by getting my body looking good! I know the basic exercises to do and to eat less/healthier stuff. But does anyone have any other advice? I’m wanting to get my stomach and arms smaller and have my thighs and ass thick so is there any specific exercises for that?
