Baby grimacing when given pacifier??

Question

My 5 week old just recently started last week grimacing and then spitting out her pacifier. The look on her face almost says she's in pain. I'll try one or two more times after she spits it out and she'll take it without grimacing. I've looked in her mouth and I don't see thrush or anything. Anybody else experience this? I asked the pediatrician yesterday and he said he had no idea why she would be doing it.

My son Does this when he doesn’t want it.. usually I just take it away and wait for him to show cues that he does

My first took a pacifier but my second didnt want anything to do with it from the start. If baby doesnt like it then baby won't take it.

Yes, she previously took them before. She was a preemie so the hospital was giving her the jollypop ones while in the NICU. We also had to supplement bottle feeds the first couple weeks to help her gain weight but I'm exclusively breast feeding except for an occasional bottle. She kept spitting out the jollypop ones the hospital had given us about 2 weeks ago but no grimacing. I tried tommee tippee and another brand as well but she would spit those out, no grimacing. Gave her MAM and she seemed to like those. Kept them in her mouth the whole time. But now she started grimacing and spitting them out. If she doesn't take the pacifier though she just screams bloody murder Non-Stop.

My youngest did this. Figured out it wasn't    me and never took it again. She would cry if I would give it to her lol. She was exclusively breastfed. She wouldn't take a bottle either.

If my girl is upset sometimes it takes a few tries or she won’t take it at all. If she’s really upset then I give her the boob cuz that’s usually what she’s looking for at that point

Has she ever taken to it? My kids never took to a dummy luckily but I did try

Was there ever a time she did take it?
Some kids just don’t like them.  Some kids are super duper fussy about the shape and materials.  My daughter will only take the silicone one by Nuk (flat nipple and silicone) and pretty much only uses it to fall asleep.
