Time for a full time job? (sorry long-ish post)
My husband owns a seasonal restaurant. It gets so busy and it’s so hard to find workers during the summer that I gave up my career to help him. That also means that during the winter I only work two days a week. He encourages me to be happy and do what I want to do but working for him is really the only way we get to see each other AND it gives me flexibility when our daughter is sick, etc... but no PTO, benefits, savings plan for me there.
A full time gig has popped up in town in my field and I would love to apply. It would be great to start making money again (student loans don’t pay themselves), but like I said my flexibility now is nice.... plus I’m 14 weeks pregnant. I’d feel like a turd if I got the job then said “oh yeah btw I’ll need 6weeks off in five months”
Uggghhh..... maybe I just need to pump this second baby out, get settled, then start looking for work next year. I just feel like every year I’m not working in my field I make myself less desirable as a worker.
