Is this a miscarriage?

I am 5 weeks and 6 days today. Is this a miscarriage or something else?

I just went through this last week, mine started as spotting, then got brighter and brighter red and I ended up at the ER Sunday gushing blood and clots like to the point where I was hemorrhaging and they had to give me a D&C. I’m not trying to scare you but it seems to me to be similar to what I went though... I’m so sorry.

It’s hard telling, honestly. Bright red blood isn’t ever a “good thing” but it doesn’t also instantly mean miscarriage every time. I had bleeding like that and it was caused by a hemorrhage. Pregnancy went perfectly fine though. Give your doctor a call and let them know. They may be able to get you in early to rule out any issues and find the source of the bleed.

Not necessarily but it doesnt look good :(

Not necessarily but you should definitely call your doctor. There doesn’t appear to be clotting but bright red blood isn’t a good sign during pregnancy. I will say though that i had heavier bleeding than that early in my pregnancy and it was an SCH that ultimately resolved itself.
