Is 38wks 1/2 the most common?

Question

All the ladies around me gave birth in their 38th week pregnancy. Is it that common ?
Everyone keeps telling me I don't have long left, no one ever mentions the 40 weeks 🤔🤔🤔. 
I don't know what to think honestly.

It’s not the most common. There are several probability calculators on the Internet where you can enter your due date and it tells you the probability for each date for a few weeks before and after. 40 weeks does have the highest probability but it’s still only around 4% for that exact day. The days before and after have the second highest probabilities and it goes down from there. Basically there is really no way of knowing in advance other than possible signs of labor.

Everyone I know that went into labor on there own, has gone past 40 with there 1st baby. With baby’s 2+ I’ve known people to have their baby’s on either side of the due date.

Technically you’re full term at 37 weeks so anything after that is common of course but everyone is different

It’s hard to say... my first was 40+1, 2nd was 39+1 and 3rd was 38+3. I’m currently 34 weeks with my 4th and expect to go somewhere between 37-38 weeks but we will see!
