UPDATE- Pretty sure he has cancer 😔

Rachel

So right before my family and I left for a month-long vacation, my dog had a small lump on his tummy and had lost a little bit of weight. He’s 11 years old so it’s normal for older dogs to lose some weight so the vet just said to keep an eye on him. We just came back from our vacation and he has lost a lot more weight (apparently he hasn’t been eating). I can feel his bones (some of them show) and the lump has noticeably grown.

I googled his symptoms and I think he has cancer. My family and I have been crying in and off ever since we got back. He’s our first dog and he’s the best dog.

I don’t really know what to do about all this. I just feel completely distraught and overwhelmed, and most of all, helpless.

I love him more than literally anything and the thought of losing him (sometime soon) is killing me.

I really don’t know what to do with these emotions...

Send some prayers out for Brody ❤️

UPDATE:

He has cancer EVERYWHERE. It’s aggressive and soon he will suffocate to death from the inside out.

He has been given steroids to make him comfortable for the weekend.

So we have a few days to spend with him before he goes to puppy heaven.

Heartbreaking.
