Probably about 3 months ago, my son started doing this weird twitching thing with his eyes and face. Mainly seems to be when he’s eating. It very rarely happens any time other than that. It’s almost like he’s wincing in pain, but he doesn’t cry or whine when he does it. He’s 17 months now. We’ve taken him to the doctor for it twice now and they said they aren’t concerned but they also have no real explanation for it, except that maybe he is suffering from allergies and there’s something tickling his sinuses. He doesn’t have any issues with his sight from what we have noticed and he’s above and beyond with his developmental stages. The only thing that I’ve thought of that it might be is that he started cutting teeth late and it was around the time he started cutting teeth that he started doing this face. This would also sort of make sense for the face being mainly when he is eating. The thing that is weird is that he will do it for a while and then stop for like a month, and then it’ll start back up again. It’s not every time he eats, just sometimes. It’s the weirdest thing. I’m just curious if anyone else has experienced something like this.
