I voted yes because I think it is important for parents to take some time and mentally open themselves up to hearing what will possibly be constructive criticism of their child coming from a person who spends a large portion of every day with them. A lot of parents get defensive and shut down, which is not helpful to anyone. It is natural to defend your child, but also understand that their teachers care otherwise they wouldn’t have called you.

Not really. You just show up, be polite and listen to what your kids teacher has to say. You’re not their with your kids every single day and they are. They don’t take time out of their day to lie about your child’s progress or behavior.

Write down any concerns you may have. Be prepared to have an open mind and understand you may hear your child is not the perfect angel you think.
