It happened to me!
We went at 14w5d to find out the gender of our new addition. We obviously chose the place we went to before, the most reputable facility that guaranteed their determinations and claimed to be 99% accurate as early as 14w. It was a BOY! We went in today at 20w3d...and it's a GIRL! We originally did not mind which gender but after 6 weeks, he had a name and a few things in his room. I can't even be excited for this little girl yet because I feel like I'm mourning the loss of my unborn son in a way. Maybe I'm being dramatic? Idk. My SO is now saying he doesn't want to talk about names or buy anything unless it is gender neutral because he can't trust the ultrasound techs. I wish I would have never got the elective.
