What do you ladies think of a home birth?

This is my 3rd baby and I gave birth to my first 2 in hospital, never had any issues or complications. This time it was a hospital birth again all the way BUT my BF is an engineer and works away, sometimes just a day at a time, other times for days / weeks. He's going working in Cyprus in February for 20ish days and I'm due in March (we did talk about this first, he didn't accept the job and tell me later so this isn't the issue). The issue is, now I'm starting to think 'what if' - what if he's away and I'm on my own? What if the weather is bad and I can't get to the hospital? What if my mum/dad/sister etc can't get to me to watch my other 2?

I know it's getting a bit late to only just start thinking about all this 😐

Has anyone had a home birth?

Has anyone with kids considered it?

I want to hear all the good and bad experiences - I can't make a decision based on half a story.
