Which day is REALLY CD DAY 1?

I’m picking up my clomid today. I usually have a day or two a light pink spotting before AF unlocks the gates of hell. Would I count the first spotting day as DAY 1? Or the first day of the Red Sea as DAY 1? 
It’s crazy how this never came to my mind until now 🤦🏻‍♀️ 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just want to make sure I’m not taking it too early or too soon. I’m supposed to take days 5-9

Any day you see red (spotting included) it's considered your first cycle day. No matter what the majority of the poll says, day 1 is any red or black/brown.

My doctor specifically told me first day "full flow"

My RE and obgyn who specializes in infertility said first day of full flow, not light spotting. I specifically needed to know as I often spotted 3+ days prior to the start of mine. I have successfully ovulated on both clomid and femara so must be working like it's supposed to:). Good luck!
