My friend said she’d “never in a million years ask her bf to get a vasectomy.” She would rather get her tubes tied than even ASK him for a vasectomy. Because “I’d never forgive myself for asking him to do something like that”

Personally, I’ve had a C-section, and the recovery was absolutely horrible for me. Under no circumstances would I ever get my tubes done. I can’t force my grown ass man of a husband to get a vasectomy. But, one day, when we decide that we are done having kids and it’s time to discuss how we plan to go about that, you bet your fucking ass I’m going to ask him if he be OK with a vasectomy.

I don’t think it’s so much to ask, after women sacrifice our bodies to carry and deliver a child, or more than one child. What do you think? Would you ever ask your husband to get a vasectomy?

Edit to add** this doesn’t mean FORCING HIM. If he says no, that’s the end of discussion. Just like I am dead set in not having surgery. But the point is, is it so wrong to ASK him how he would feel?
