I have finished 4 cycles of Femara taking 2.5 mg on days 5-9. I have been trying to get pregnant for 18 months. My ob gyn in September said nothing is wrong with my partners sperm and nothing is wrong with me except my progesterone levels were really low. So she prescribed Femara. In October I had my blood tested and it showed that My progesterone levels were totally normal and shows that I have ovulated. Today my dr said that it’s normal that I’m not pregnant yet, she said I should continue Femara for 9 months, so 5 more months. At that point she would have me see a specialist. I wasn’t happy with this as I feel like this isn’t really doing anything. Has anyone else been given the same advice from a dr? Has anyone had 4 failed cycles of Femara and then got pregnant on their 5th or 6th or 7th etc cycle? Im wondering if my stress levels and negative outlook (ie thoughts like “I’ll never get pregnant, this will never work” etc) are making it harder for me to conceive since my drs point of view is like she’s sure I’ll get pregnant soon.
