I only pump 5 times a day for a 1100-1200ml production. Is it ok?

I'm pumping breast milk to help me control how much my baby eats. I read the best practice is pumping 8-10 times a day, but I only pump 5-6 times a day, 20-30 min per section to have a total production of 1100-1200ml (more than he eats, so I can freeze some every day). 
If I can produce enough milk, is there a reason that I better pump 8-10 times a day?

That’s a lot! I would stick with your current pumping schedule. It sounds like you could have an oversupply if you try to pump more than that.

I honestly haven’t noticed a difference in the amount pumped if I go 3 or 6 hours. It’s still technically the same amount.
