Pool noodles work in place of commercial bed rails?

My 2 1/2 year old is the the climbing out of the crib stage. I bought commercial rails but wondering if pools noodle work? Seems like they’d move around throughout the day under the fitted sheet or my kid would roll over them. Do pool noodles work in place of commercial bed rails? What size did you use?

We got one and it worked most of the time , we still had her fall out a few times

Pool noodles are wonderful inventions. They have many different uses in the home and cost way less than anything you can buy to baby proof. They work great as bumpers just secure them down. Cut them and use them on tables with a sharp edge. Use them to prevent doors from slamming. So many uses

We didnt want to do the rails because our kid would go out of his way to climb over those too.
The pool noodles do the job just fine without adding another climbing risk. He cant roll out of bed with them, but he is able to safely get out when hes awake. We just secured ours to the mattress with duct tape

No.. lol my son crawled/climbed right over them. Now while asleep if the roll into them he didn't fall out but that was it. Use the commercial bed rails.
