In uk you don’t get an early scan unless you go private, you’ll get an early scan with EPU if you’re bleeding and around 6 weeks. Until then you’ll have to wait till you’re 12 weeks I’m nearly 9 weeks and I’ve gotta wait 3 weeks to see my little bambino.

In my experience it's best to wait it out until you think you're about 6 weeks at least as they won't be able to tell much before then. Also, hopefully everything will be fine by six weeks and then you can just wait a few more weeks until your 11/12 week scan. And hopefully you won't need an internal scan... They won't scan you for free (in my experience) so you have to say that you've had cramping or bleeding. I waited until 8 weeks after having some severe cramping and I was so glad I did, now I just have to wait a little longer for the 12 week scan 🤞

I had a miscarried before at 11w4d and I kept on trying to get an appointment with my gp because I felt that something was wrong but I wasn’t bleeding and when I finally got my appointment the doctor said if I’m not bleeding I’m fine, well they didn’t even bother checking me! So this time around I decided to go privately before I get my first 12 week scan just to make sure I will have a healthy pregnancy this time.

The only problem with doing it early (before 7weeks) is you may not see or hear much of anything in which case that can cause more anxiety.

Chemicals are actually preetty common. That's why they tell people to wait to test until they have missed their period. I don't see why they would want to see if everything is okay because of it unless you shell out money to a place that only does ultrasounds. If you had miscarriages that would be a different story
