FTM pumping questions (long post)

Amanda

I am a FTM and I’m hoping to breastfeed and pump. I may end up going to exclusively pumping, but we’ll see where the yellow brick road takes me.

I’m due at the end of April and luckily I will have my entire summer off since I am a teacher. When I go back to work I will be able to pump once during my lunch time. The lunch hour for my students is about 3 hours into school. I won’t be able to pump again until after school which is a little over 3 hours after lunch. On many days I have staff meetings, committee meetings and grade level meetings, which only leaves me about 30 mins to pump while I work and get ready for meetings IF my students leave RIGHT on time, which never happens.

How do I establish a pumping schedule over summer to be ready in August when I go back to work so I don’t diminish my supply and/or feel miserable during the day? How would I store my pumping supplies at work? Do I use the same pump at home and work? I’m not quite sure how this all works. Thank you in advance!
