Ttc for 16 months, first month charting

Jessica

I’ve been doing ovulation tests for the past 3 months (this month makes 4) and gotten positives each month, but this is my first month really temp charting so I have nooo idea what it should look like. I followed the directions perfectly, same time every morning, before I do anything at all I take my temp. Is my chart looking normal so far?

Oh okay well that’s great news! I just wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be like a steady temp the whole time before ovulation or what, up until this morning when it was 97.45 my temps have alternated between 97.18 and 97.58 every other day pretty much and I didn’t know if that was normal or not! (Minus the first day of course, I realized that one was prob highest cause I accidentally slept with the heating pad on my tummy all night due to cramps)

Yes! Here’s a sample chart to show what you’re looking for:

So far so good! You should see a rise after ovulation by at least .2 degrees (although it is usually best to have a .4-1 degree rise) and if it stayed elevated past when your period is due it’s a good sign!! If you aren’t pregnant your temps will dip the day before, of, or right after your period starts.
