Which birth control?

So I’m 16 and on the pill right now but want to switch to an IUD because I know it’s better for your body and safer for future fertility. But my boyfriend and a few of his girl friends said it’s a bad idea for the same reason as the pill. Any thoughts for which I should do?

I agree u should try the Nexplanon implant. That said, just to clear something up, the only method that’s truly bad for ur body & is known to possibly cause fertility issues after use, is the depo shot. All other methods are safe granted ur medically fit to use them & have no long term affect on ur future fertility.

Your boyfriend doesn’t get to have an opinion on what you put into your body, unless you’re carrying his child, which you aren’t. So, now what I would do is research the pill, the implant, the depo shot, patches and the iud and figure out which one sounds good for you. Birth control isn’t an easy thing to just have, I haven’t met a single girl who is perfectly content with her birth control. So there is always going to be Cons. Do some research tho! Planned parenthood is a really good site to learn things about birth controls, but there is also so much other sites out there with even more info! Good luck!

Do your research on all of the birth control. They all mess with your hormones except the copper iud but they can all cause infertility. I recommend staying away from depo.
