Chantelle

So on the 7th of January I went into hospital for a routine heart rate monitoring we had been told she was growing below the line so I needed to be monitored closer, the lines weren’t meeting up so I was admitted to the hospital to be watched closer every 4 hours someone would come in and take my blood pressure temperature and pulse, roll on to Tuesday I had my first steroid injection ready incase they needed to bring her at 37 weeks stung like a bitch but whatever she needed. Woke up Wednesday morning and my waters went after I had been to the toilet, and it kept on coming period cramps started soon after and continued but nothing regular so after my second injection and a course of antibiotics I was aloud to go home. Friday the pains pick back up so we go back in and I’m monitored again but they stopped so I was sent home again they didn’t even check my cervix Friday night the pain picked up again but they didn’t go away but I had a bath and went to bed as normal thinking they wouldn’t lead to anything but early hours Saturday morning I’m crying in pain so we ring up and they tell me to come straight in to the labour ward, so off we go when we arrive they take me up put me back on the heart monitor and watch me for a bit then the midwife came in to check me and I was already 10cm dilated and ready to push!! After the shock had worn off we rang my mum who was my other birthing partner she arrived quickly and it was time to push, I was in labour for 1:26! minuets when my beautiful Gracie Elizabeth came into the world screaming, she was placed on my chest and I hand squeezed some milk for her which she took, born at 35 weeks exactly She weighed 4lb 2oz but she was perfect, she needed a bit of light therapy for jaundice but was fine otherwise. Then the fun started I lost a lot of blood and my iron was low I needed injections, a blood transfusion iron tablets and to top it off they found a cyst on my ovary! But we’re all good now came home after 6 days in the hospital and she’s thriving.
