I had a 2nd degree tear. I feel if I would have been off my back and not told to push so hard so fast I could have prevented the tearing.

I commented fourth degree but I’ve also had a second. My first daughter (a whole 6lb 4oz) cause me to test past an episiotomy. The recovery was brutal. 16 weeks total to recover. With my 2nd 10.5 years later my dr said it’s very rare to tear that bad a second time.  I had barely a second degree with my second and honestly it felt like nothing. Within two weeks I felt like I didn’t even have a baby. I felt great! I’m currently expecting twins and praying for a vaginal birth. Honestly, I’d take any kind of tear over a C section. Here’s hoping for head down babies! Lol
