I had episiotomy with my son and then Naturally tore with DD. I didn’t feel stitches at all being done  both times but it sure did hurt when epidural wore off. I couldn’t sit ☹️

I had them turn off my epidural when it was time to push and I felt half of my stitches. The doctor said with a natural tear its harder to numb it completely

My epidural only worked for a little bit. I felt quite a bit during most of my labor. One of the few things I said while pushing was 'the ring of fire is no joke'. I ended up with a 4th degree tear because my son decided he wanted to come out as a one armed Superman. Felt every stitch even after they turned up the epidural.
