At my 32 week ultrasound, they noticed 2 very small placental lakes. My doc said they were no big deal, but he wanted to do ultrasounds every other week till baby arrives. At the 34 week follow up ultrasound, he changed it to weekly. And now also added on weekly fetal non stress tests as well.

Why are they doing this? I'm not high risk. Everything else has gone perfectly the whole pregnancy. I'm not working full time anymore, so it isn't too bothersome having these appointments, but I'm just confused why they feel the need to do so much all of a sudden.

So now I'm 36 weeks, and every week, baby passes the NST and they say everything on the ultrasound looks great. ...whhyyyyy???
