what caused my miscarriage?

today just going through a lot of emotions. I may have a d&c tomorrow depending if there's anything left of my first pregnancy left.... just keep asking why? is it cause I got pregnant on the first try of clomid? is it cause I caught the flu the week of my miscarriage?  is it cause I drank decaf? what did I do wrong?

You didn't do anything wrong.  After my mc I had a million questions and what ifs for my doctor. She told me to stop blaming myself.  There was nothing you did or could have done to prevent it. Most of the time its because of a chromosomal abnormality and can't be prevented. Wishing you strength and comfort. 💛💛

This wasn't your fault. It's just a terrible thing that happens sometimes. I lost my daughter at 11 weeks pregnant to Turner Syndrome. The hardest part for me, was my friend and work mentor having a thriving daughter in high school who has Turner Syndrome. It's not a death sentence, but for my daughter it was. She was my first. I had a D&C and was so grateful for it. I highly recommend reading the book Mother of All Mothers on those days when you blame yourself.
