If I don't start AF till September 2nd can it still be too early to test?

Depends on the test you use. Some can detect pregnancy 5 days before AF is due

I read an interesting article that said taking a pregnancy test 5 days before AF isn't very accurate. the very best rated early response tests only accurately predict 46% of pregnancies. I would wait. I took my test 2 days early and got a negative I'm due today and no AF. Fingers crossed she doesn't show up and I get a bfp soon!!

It's not too early. However being that Wednesday is 2days away... You might as well just wait and see if af comes. It's up to you though. Good luck!!!
