has anyone dated a minor, and been caught? what happens?
ps this is for a school project about statutory rape (it’s considered rape but both of the partners say yes, just ones over 18 and ones under)

I was also a minor and he was 36. ( yeah I know) . He got in a huge amount of trouble with the law and got fired from his job. I believe he is serving time in prison currently.

eek. lol. this is gonna sound so bad, but i’ll include my story for you. i met my boyfriend when i was 17 and he was 26, and we’ve been happily together for the last year and a half now. we’ve had moments at the start where we were hesitant because of the age, but all in all, we’ve never been happier and we work so well together and i couldn’t imagine myself with anyone else!!!

I was a minor and he was in his mid-20’s ..... someone told and had an investigation started. I denied everything because I was consenting (although I was too young to legally consent) but he was fired (he worked at the Boys and Girls Club I attended).

There was a guy in my town who when he was about 20 he was seeing girls as young as 11. He got arrested and was sent to jail for four months. The whole community was really pissed about him only serving four months for the relationships (which did turn sexual with at least three of them, including the 11 year old) but that was all that happened. Don’t know what happened to him after that

I was 17 and he was 19. But im married to him now, over 4 years later. I do believe the laws towards age of consent are different for each state in the US. I know in the state of Pennsylvania the legal age of consent is 16 but i think there is also a law about the age difference, something like one party can't be older than about 2 or 3 years than the youngest. Until 18 its seems to be a touchy subject with the age difference, mainly since a person does so much maturing during those years.
