Okay y’all, I’m really sorry to be Miss TMI here, but I’m unfortunately yeast infection prone. (Boyfriend is aware) As far as I knew, everything was all good and fine. It looked normal, felt normal, whatever, whatever, and I go about doing stuff with my boyfriend. (Unprotected) It wasn’t until the next day that he was all up in my business (we weren’t having sex this time, we just both happened to be at an angle where he could see it) and he goes me “Babe, I see some white stuff at the entrance of your vagina, is that what a yeast infection looks like?” I sometimes get white discharge that isn’t an infection at certain points of my cycle and that’s where I’m at now, so I told him that and was like “so I’m not 100% sure.” He goes on to describe it to me “It looks kind of like cottage cheese.” (and he doesn’t know that happens to be how it’s commonly described) My stomach dropped. I was like “Oh god, it probably is then,” (Mine don’t generally itch, so I can’t tell that way) So I start to freak out, worrying that he has one. I asked my gynaecologist way before this ever happened how likely it is to pass a yeast infection to a male partner. She said it’s possible, but rare. I mentioned that to him and was “Well, probably not then.” And I said I really wasn’t sure I trusted that and feel like he probably did end up getting it. He said he was feeling fine down there, but I told him to keep me posted. He’s now saying it feels a bit sore and itchier than normal, exactly what I told him to watch out for. I’m really worried because he’s eighteen, but still lives with his parents and I don’t want him to have to tell them and get judged for being “dirty” and probably make it so they don’t want him around me anymore. I feel really bad, and please don’t come at me saying we should have used a condom, we know and intend to now be more on top of that in the future. It’s both of our faults in a way, but feels more like mine. The thing that made that tough though was that the regular condoms were squeezing his dick to death, large was sliding around, and the lube I have is oil based which can’t be used with condoms and we have to use lube because of some problems I have. Any advice on how to get him treated without parents finding out? Or if we can be sure he’s affected if he only has those symptoms right now? I feel really bad and I’m so stressed out... At least he’s not mad at me though..
