EBF 11 month old wakes up every 2 hours.
Help! Sleeping training research is hard because a lot of the info is situational. We breast feed and we cosleep.
The frequent waking up started out a couple months ago when we had an accident and baby had to get stitches in her tongue. She usually uses a binkie to go to sleep, but with the stitches she couldn’t. For those first few rough nights I’d let her nurse to sleep and I completely.ruined.everything...
Now she wants to use my boob as binkie and sleep. I didn’t think anything of it at first, but it’s been weeks and she’s going to be a year soon!
We cosleep, so clearly I’m not a Cry-it-out sort of parent, and we have another child who needs sleep, so a little crying is okay, but I cannot let her wake up the house...
Any other advice? It sounds like weaning off the night “feedings” is the general answer, any tips? She isn’t really eating, but comforting herself. I haven’t done anything sooner because I thought it would pass and they are only babies for so long, but this momma needs some more sleep!
