Condoms and Birth Control

So I haven't had sex yet but my boyfriend and I have been talking about it. We decided to get birth control and still use condoms, using both will guarantee I won't get pregnant right? I just need reassurance because I'm still young to have a baby and I'm not planning on it either. Opinions? Experience? Anything, thanks!
