Left over hcg or new pregnancy? 3 weeks after miscarriage

I had a miscarriage which was medically managed 3 weeks ago, got told to take a pregnancy test and it should be negative, however it’s positive.. any ideas if it could be a new pregnancy or left over hcg? Going to the hospital tomorrow for tests

The only way to know for sure is to get blood work done. I conceived 9 days after a miscarriage though so it is possible it’s a new pregnancy. Good luck

It could really be either or 🤷🏽‍♀️ even if you go to the doctors to get a test theirs will show up positive as well so I’d wait a week or two then take another test.

I’ve had 6 Mc it takes quite a while for the hcg to go back down to 0. Also you won’t ovulate until it’s down so it’s prob left over 😟 I’m sorry for your loss miscarriage sucks

This caused me so much heartache after my missed miscarriage. I miscarried at 12 weeks, baby only measured 8 weeks at 12 weeks can which found no 💔 beat. My HCG lurked for 4 weeks causing positive pregnancy tests. Finally after 4 weeks I had a blood test showing it at the tail end winding down and one two days later to show it was falling not rising. I was praying it was a new pregnancy.
