Considering adoption?

My husband and I are struggling to conceive and we started thinking about adoption. 
Did you have problems TTC and consider adoption to start a family? When did you started to think about it? Did you adopt in the end?

My parents tried for six years before adopting me and my brother :)

My mother is adopted so my husband and I haven’t decided we’re not going to be that couple that throws a ton of money into trying to get pregnant. If it can’t happen in a year or two without the need for shots and expensive treatment we’re going to start the process to adopt. We’ve also talked about possibly adopting a few years down the line anyway.
