What’s your birthing support model?

Question

Immediate family includes close friends. Partner only includes your doula or other labor specialists. If none of these apply, what are your wishes during the active labor phase, immediate postpartum or post-cesarean?

Hubs and doula, as well as my mom and mother in law (she’s an ob nurse) But the more I read about how crucial focus is for the progression of labor is I find I might kick the moms out if I find myself distracted and labor stalls ;)

Just my fiancé. Others have been pissed about it. Saying.. “oh, I didn’t have anyone there & I regretted it.. and you’ll be scared etc.”
I hate that other people have to make others special moments about them.

It’ll be just me and my husband until the baby is born. I don’t want to call anyone. We’ll make phone calls after the baby is born. I want to be able to enjoy the first few hours and recoup. 
I love my family and have a great relationship with both but we want our privacy.

Just my husband, sister who is a nurse plus hospital staff.

This is our first baby, so my husband and my mom before and during delivery. Family can visit the next day.

Only my doctor and hubby with me during labour and delivery! And only my parents and his for visitation in the hospital

I’m having just my husband in with me, and then immediate family (limited, there’s a lot of them lol) can visit after in the hospital. Then once I’m home anyone can drop by as long as they text me first! If not I’ll pretend I’m not home! Lol

I can only have husband during the c-section. Afterwards I'm planning a "free for all" for everyone afterwards, as long as I get a heads up and I plan on staggering people (two at a time). 
It's an easy decision for me because I have a great relationship with everyone, including his family.

Me and Husband during the actual delivery, but until we start pushing anyone can come say hi if they want. We both have big families and we’re really close with all of them, so they may stop by and wait in the waiting room, but we don’t know yet. After baby is here, anyone can come to see us in the hospital. We’re not picky and just want our baby to see how loved he is 💗💙
