Those with a lot of kids, how does the bedrooms situation work out?

My fiancé has two kids from previous marriage, and we have one of our own.  We want at least two more!!  I’ve always wanted three of my own biological.
Anyway, we are house hunting, and I’m having a hard time with this.  I feel like all kids deserve their own room, their own special place that they can go to.  despite what others think, this is really important to me, but the lord knows I can’t afford some 7 bedroom house or something crazy!
Just wondering how y’all do it.  How many bedrooms do you have, and do the kids share, or how does it work?

We have a boy bedroom and a girl bedroom. I think sharing space and respecting other people are life skills and shared bedrooms can be helpful for that. 
I prefer to have more space in the public areas for our big dining table we eat at, and for enough seating in the living room. A big back yard is also a high priority to me!

I grew up sharing a room with my sister. She’s 4 years younger than me but we are extremely close. Back then it bothered me a little bc what teenager wants to share a room lol but now looking back I wouldn’t change a thing. It made us that much closer. And the one time we didn’t share a room we still slept in the same bed at night.

Three boys in one room. It works. Another on the way if it's a girl she'll get her own room, if it's another boy the oldest will eventually have his own room.

I have 4 kids in a 3 bedroom. My daughter has her own room. The boys share. One of the boys we only have 1-2 nights a week so he has a trundle bed. We are expecting #5 and he will be in our room. We will be looking for a 4-5 bedroom in the next year or so. I grew up sharing a room and see no need for each kid to have their own
