Why would my doctor test my prolactin . Looked it up and it says something about breastfeeding lol help

High prolactin can cause infertility. It is the hormone that produces breast milk. I had high prolactin for about 3 months and got it under control by stopping my bc and taking vitamins. Good luck!

It’s a hormone that can mean different things if it’s too high or too low. My doc tested for that too, among a bunch of other things, after I had my second miscarriage.

I got mine tested two weeks ago it was at 190 I’m currently 23 weeks pregnant, my doctor tested me because I mentioned that my breasts have started to leak, she said my levels are elevated so they are going to continue to monitor it during and after I give birth as well
