Is the Bumbo seat a must have?

Hi! I’m hearing mixed reviews about the Bumbo seat. I’ve heard some parents love it and some thought there are better items on the market. I also have heard the Bumbo is not good for the little ones hips. Please share your experiences.

I got one as a hand me down from my SIL and she hated it because her baby’s legs didn’t fit in it. She gave it to me (I have a very petite girl; she’s 19 months now and only 21lbs) and even her little thighs when she was a baby got stuck!
Don’t waste your money; I’m glad I didn’t. I much preferred the fisher price sit me up chair (we had the frog one.) it had toys for them to play with, was cheap and fit my LO much better!

We got a floor seat that converts to a high chair.  It will fit until shes two, where the bumbo only  fits for a few months depending on how chubby your little ones legs are

It’s not that great in my opinion. I used it a handful of times because we didn’t have a high chair and I would feed him while he was in it . Once we got a high chair it went straight into the garage for good. I think I’ve read it’s not good for teaching baby good posture also but I mainly just didn’t find it useful. I hated getting down on the floor to get to him as well and he didn’t seem to like being in it for long. I wouldn’t waste your money.

We don't like the basic Bumbo... But they have a more expensive one that transitions to a booster and straps to a chair (yet ok for littles,) and it's been great to use as a booster to take to family dinners or where else we may need it! Get far more use out of it. His thighs never fit in the regular one

Those seats are linked to bad hip growth and spine growth. It’s not the correct sitting up position. 
I used a sit me up by Fisher price. Got it at Walmart. Also sold at Target.

Its not good for them and my son never liked staying completely upright (I'm guessing it didnt feel good because he had such a big head as a baby lol)

I thought about getting it but didn't, and I'm glad I didn't. My daughter hates sitting in one spot for even a minute. Definitely wouldn't have been worth it for me.
