Beginning of labor?

I have a consultant cramping sensation, almost like when I'm on my period. With occasional intense cramps. This has been going on since about 12pm, and it's now 630pm. My mom said that's the beginning of labor. Could she be right? I'm 39+2 today.

Yes it’s the start of labor! I had this last week, all Monday night into Tuesday.. went to the hospital at 330 pm sent me home I was only 1cm. I went back to the hospital at 2:30am Wednesday and after many hours and constant “cramps” (it was actually contractions) I was put into the labor and delivery room at 6:00 am. Had my son at 4:56 Wednesday... 
Best thing to do is track the “cramps” time them out. So when u call ur dr you can give a exact time apart they are

Following! I’m 40 weeks today and I’m having the same feelings. I can’t tell if they are contractions or just the baby moving around as space is limited. So confusing! Been consistent since 4pm

It could be. I have had this for a week now though with no progress so it’s hard to say. I just keep reminding myself 5 days until induction if she won’t come on her own

Girl I wish I knew. I’m dealing with the same thing. I had a cervical check today though so it’s probably just from that.
