Infertility: when and how did you find out?

I know that my mom had issues conceiving. She had uterine fibroids. That’s all I’m aware of. I recently had sex with behavior that I believe should’ve left me pregnant, but didn’t, that I know of (my period is due tomorrow). I’m 20. After my visits to the gynecologist, everything seemed to be normal!
When and how did you find out that you had fertility issues? Experiences welcome, judgement and lectures are not!

After you’ve been trying to get pregnant for a year they would run tests to see if you have fertility issues.

First posting publicly you can't control what people say. As far as fertility problems probably best to discuss with your dr.  Just because you didn't get pregnant this time doesn't mean you are infertile. There is also a possibility that it's your partner and not you. Some coiled perfectly healthy can't conceive a baby they simply aren't compatible. Fertility is a very complicated thing. That's why I say speak to your dr about your concerns.

I didn’t have a period for about 6 months. I went to the doctor and she did some bloodwork which showed that I don’t ovulate regularly. I’ve tried to conceive and haven’t been able to.

You wouldn’t know until you really try. It take up to a year to get pregnant.

Unfortunately people will always judge over something. You have to be trying for a year unprotected before they will even refer you to a specialist. I am starting the process in a few weeks. Most of my family members have never had an issue.
