When do doctors usually say, “it’s go time?”

Lauren

With my first, I was at my NST & she (the nurse) decided to check me. I was 4cm dilated and 90% effaced and she sent me over to labor and delivery. I had my son 6 hours later. I had no idea I was in labor. Lol.

With this one, I was contracting irregularly but was 3cm and 70% effaced last Thursday at 36+4. I got sent home due to the contractions being so far apart although i was definitely contracting.

I have an appt tomorrow and this is a whole new doctor, hospital, everything. I’m curious to see when/if she’ll check me and say “okay time to go to labor & delivery”.

I’ve been losing my plug and also having random contractions here and there. And he’s most definitely dropped.

So when do doctors usually say, “okay let’s do this?” Lol
