I can choose a c section now, right?

If I can, should I? I’ve always thought it would be better

My first was a vaginal delivery and my second was a c-section. 
Trust me, the recovery is WAAAAAAAY worse with a c-section. It’s not something you want.

My OB actually does elective c sections.  Her opinion is if you can elect to have a boob job you can elect to have a c section.

So all these people being negative, I will give you a positive experience. My first was scheduled due to my own medical conditions.  
The actual surgery was a breeze, I felt nothing. I had no pain during the procedure. I was out and in recovery within 50 minutes. My only negative was I had a reaction to the anesthesia so I vomited after surgery for hours but once they put some stuff in my IV I was fine. I slept fine the first night. By 6am they removed my catheter and had me sitting in a chair. I was able to use the restroom alone, by mid-day my OB was back to remove the dressings and I was good to shower. That same day I was walking the halls with my husband, by day 3 I was walking all the way down to the front and going to the grill to get lunch and back. I was showering daily and able to get up with no help. I was released on day 4, able to take care of my newborn and slept upstairs in my own bed. By day 6 I cooked breakfast for extended family at my home, went to the grocery store the following day with my husband. I was walking around the block by the second week and feeling good. I had a good experience, sure there were times it wasn’t comfortable but I never had moment that I thought I can’t take care of myself or child. Nor did I lay around in bed or on the sofa helpless and in pain. 
I have another one scheduled in less than a month, not stressed or worried one bit. Try to take horror stories with a grain of salt. My sister in law had a vaginal delivery induced, she was in 31 hours of labor which turned to a 5 day hospital stay. When she got out it was like she was incapacitated for nearly two weeks in pain from her vagina tearing during birth, I was up and moving around better than she was even with major surgery.

I've had 4 C-sections and the recovery is not as bad as people make it seem.

Recovery can suck.  It hurts a lot to do so much and thing you would not think of.  Like laughing is so painful. Try not of you don’t have to.  I thought the same as you especially since all the moms I know give birth v c section. They all told me not to. I wish I could have not for my son but that the way it ended up going.  But that’s a long story.

OMG I had an emergency c section, it’s awful . I felt like a whale belly up tied to a thin board I could feel tugging and smell my flesh burning. All these sounds and you can’t see . And OMG Try and stand up I felt like a was on fire around my incesion. It hurts so bad . I’m still

I've had 2 natural vaginal deliveries (9year old and 6 year old)  and I recovered in a matter of days. 
I had my 3rd baby 13 days ago via c section  as she was breech and the recovery is awful.  I'm still in pain,  still can't do much etc,  i would never have another one if I could help it x

Everyone’s options on c sections are very different, it honestly depends on the person! I’ve heard horror stories about them and was scared to have one but I honestly had a wonderful experience with mine and couldn’t imagine having a vaginal birth!

I had a semi-planned c-section. The recovery is longer, and you’re definitely more home-bound. I healed pretty quickly with mine, walked out of the hospital not needing the prescribed painkillers. Just took some ibuprofen. It’s very important that you move around and walk after because it helps the healing process. 
My advice: above all else if you have a c-section plan to have someone to help you at home for the following weeks.
