Disappearing period?

So I recently stopped taking oral contraceptives about 3 weeks ago and was supposed to start my period Thursday. I have gone off BC before for short amounts of time and NEVER had a late period has this happened to anyone else? I have all the symptoms of being on my period just not bleeding. And I'm not pregnant either.

It depends on age 3-6 months is average. If you are under 30 and it doesn't return after 5-6 months inform your doctor. If you're above 30 and it hasn't returned after 3 months inform your doctor

If you have been on bc pills and stopped it will mess up your cycle for several months while your own hormones build up and replace the synthetic ones. It usually takes 3-6 months to become regular after having been on birth control.

When I stopped BC for the first time, my period came late, for about a week or so... Be patient! Good luck!!
