My son had his 6 month shots this morning at 7:45am and the flu shot. His temp was reading 101.3 so we have him infant Tylenol at 4pm (bottle says repeat every 6 hours as needed. He is extremely fussy and was refusing naps today, so we put him to bed at 6pm.

He slept like a rock, but because his eating was awful today and the need to recheck the temperature, we woke him at 9:45pm for a diaper change, temperature reading, and breastfeeding. His temperature was up to 102.5. We gave him infant ibuprofen and called his doctor. The on call doctor didn’t seem concerned at all and said it’s normal with the flu shot (my son has never been phased by his normal shots). She said to keep cycling Tylenol and ibuprofen and to go into get him checked if the fever isn’t gone by tomorrow afternoon.

I’m just worried- anyone else’s July baby get a fever after shots. 😢😢😢
