How do you feel acrylics nails for a 8 or 9 yrs old girl?

No way. Maybe press on nails but definitely not acrylics. I’m a grown ass woman and getting acrylics is sometimes a little painful and uncomfortable especially when filing and buffing. I wouldn’t put a kid through that

My rule for my daughter was when you can afford the upkeep you can get them. She got a part time job at 16 and gets them. But that is NOT my bill to keep ❤️

I say no only because it’s so painful when they break (and they WILL break). A kid can’t deal with that. They’re so active.

I had to get them done for cheerleading at that age (for competitions) but I also was allowed to get them even if I didn’t have a com. My mom and I did it as a girls day, it was wonderful.

Personally, I feel like that age is too young for acrylics. However, people do what they want for their child. Not my child, not my problem.🤷🏾‍♀️ At that age, I was only getting polish. I did not start getting acrylics until I was about 13 and it will be the same for my daughter. I actually cannot wait to start taking my little princess to the nail shop with me! 😊👌🏾 I will start taking her when she gets about three or four, haven't really decided on an age yet. However, she will not get her nails like mine. No gel polish and no acrylics for her, that's for me... Not her! She will get regular polish, plain and simple.

They are not good for anyone's nails so that's a no from me.  I don't even wear them,  we just have naturally thick and long nails that we paint.

Too young! They ruin the natural nail!! Tell her to grow her nails out with nail strengther and get shellac!!

She can still go to a salon and get a mani with a gel coat without full on acrylics but I don’t even think you can get gel nails at that age? Could be wrong but I’m pretty sure they’d turn you down, either way no a child doesn’t need acrylics
