I just wanted to post this here where hopefully the highest number of people will see it.

A couple cycles ago, I ordered a 3-pack of FRERs on Amazon, and the tests I received were fake. I recognized them as not the real thing but tried them anyway, and one didn’t work and the other two had horrible dye run and false positive lines. Even though I knew they probably weren’t valid because they were counterfeit products, it still got my hopes up and messed with my head!

This pic shows a real FRER on top and then two of the fake ones. You can see that the fake ones have slightly different text and the absorbent part is narrower. But they were otherwise pretty convincing; they were embossed with the same frer logo as the real thing, the packaging looked almost identical, etc.

Just wanted to put this out there for everyone to be very very cautious getting FRERs off of Amazon!
