Bradley’s induction story!
Her due date was January 13th but she was born on January 21st because mommy got induced. Labor was long and hard, we started our induction process at 12:15 am on the 20th by a dose of miso. Things started picking up rather fast thankfully contractions weren’t too strong that night so thankfully I got some sleep. I was supposed to get another dose of miso every 4 hours but things where moving along so well we didn’t need one until about 12:15 am that day. Nurse gave me another dose vaginally, and contractions started slowly getting worse until they where so bad I was crying, and just wanted it a break. They where close together but we still weren’t dilating very fast. The rest of that Sunday was spent in a lot of horrible pain and the contractions felt like they just weren’t going to stop or let up for me to get a breather. 9:30 that night we finally decided to get the epidural and let me just tell you that was the best decision I ever made, not only did I get sleep threw the night my body was relaxed from me not fighting the pain of the contractions so my cervix was able to open up a lot more a lot faster. At around 12 am ( 24 hours later) the nurse checked my cervix and it had finally made it to a 5! We where so happy and thankful after all that work we where finally making some good progress. I was able to go back to bed and the nurses came back in at 2:15 to check me again, we had made it to 8 cm by then!! Our doctor came in at 3:15 and we had moved to a 9 and we started pushing about an hour later. Took 55 minutes to pop out girl out and she was born at 5:07 am on January 21st! We thought we where going to have a Capricorn baby but we ended having an Aquarius! She weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces, was 21 inches long and had a 13 inch head! We’re so happy to finally have our babygirl ❤️
