My husband's ex left him a suicide note.
So, here's a rollercoaster.
My husband had a serial cheater ex before me. It was bad enough that not only did he need therapy, he also needed medical attention for a few of the things she gave him. He stayed with her though, always went back. Then finally gave up after about five years. They were school sweethearts. Since like fifth grade.
Well now, he's no contact. We've been married for three years, dated before that one, we have a son, a home, and a dog. There's even a white picket fence. We're happy.
She however is not. All of his friends know she's no contact. They don't give her his new number, they won't tell her where he lives, they avoid her even though she stalks them to bars and even Walmart. But...not Mother In Law. Guess she finally got tired of me (I didn't invite her to Christmas because she steals 🤷) and told ex where we live.
I was outside smoking off the porch to the side. You can't see my chair because of two large plants also I'm child sized. So a car pulls up, she gets out (in her pajamas at five in the afternoon but whatever do you) and shoves an envelope under his windshield wiper.
Well it's hubby's 25th birthday and I didn't want to spoil it with drama, he was inside showering to go out and celebrate. I took the letter, shoved it in a coat pocket, and went about the day.
A month later and here we are.
She's obviously still living, we even got a shiny new restraining order on her after she spent two solid weeks following me everywhere I went.
I put on the coat this morning and out popped the envelope and the TEN PAGE fake suicide note. It was awful and crazed. I'm sending copies to the caseworker. She didn't mention harming anyone but herself though.
I debated what to do...Hubby has been very stressed and feels guilty that his mother told her where to find us. I feel like this would only add to the stress.
Should I send it and forget it or should I tell him?
