Just got a job offer! 🎊 17 weeks pregnant, not really showing...should I say something now or wait a few more weeks?

I used to recommend being fully honest about this right off the bat, but after being told at an interview that I got the job, then telling the interviewer I was pregnant, then being told they would not hire me full time because I was pregnant (yes, that was the reason they gave), I’ve changed my mind. This is illegal discrimination, but it happens all the time. At another place I worked, I was leaving for a better opportunity and when we were interviewing for my replacement, my boss asked me to try to find out if the applicant was pregnant or planning to have kids soon. I didn’t, obviously, but because of these experiences I don’t encourage full disclosure until you feel secure in the job.

I’m a paralegal so it’s all desk work 9-5 schedule. It’s a great opportunity so I think I’m making the right decision for my family 😁♥️🤰🏽

Of they have already offered you the job, I would say something. Because if they back out after that then that's discrimination and they'd be in be trouble. I feel like if you accepted and told them later, it would make you look deceiving

Same situation here. I waited until after all the my training because I wanted to show them that I’m still a hard worker even pregnant. I didn’t want them to judge me based on my pregnancy.

Honestly, I say wait. When the time is right, you’ll let your employer know. It is a lot easier for them to find your replacement (temporary or not) than it is for you to find another job. Discrimination is discrimination whether it’s due to race, gender, pregnancy etc. if you work hard and you’re capable of doing a good job, then you deserve it as much as someone who isn’t. 
I was offered a job in November, and I was excited about it. I didn’t get to start until December, I was about seven weeks when I found out and started the following week. I decided to disclose it because I was going to be requesting off once a month for appointments, and because bathroom breaks became more frequent. I also was out of breath if I moved too quickly. As soon as I told my boss, his entire demeanor changed. He was no longer nice or supportive. He tried to tell me that the hour long lunch breaks everyone else got didn’t apply to me, and that if I absolutely needed a fifteen minute break (legally entitled to two) to ask and he would “see what he could do.” It took a toll on me mentally and emotionally, and one day I worked six out of nine hours without a lunch or break, watched all of my coworkers get their hour and fifteen minutes, and was basically ignored every time I spoke up to ask for mine. I quit because of it, which honestly isn’t right. A month later I’ve accepted another job, but it hasn’t been easy. Now that I’m regaining energy and the trips to the bathroom are slowing down, I’ll be disclosing it soon because I don’t feel as overwhelmed. But not until everything is stable for me and my baby. That’s my advice for you as well.
